Wills, Trusts, Probate, and Medicaid Planning in Miramar
If you live in Miramar, Florida, and have recently lost a spouse, parent, or another loved one, OC Estate and Elder Law is here to support you during this difficult time. We understand how emotionally overwhelming it can be to deal with court proceedings while grieving. Navigating the legal probate process to claim an inheritance is often complex and stressful, especially for families already facing loss. Our experienced team of probate attorneys is dedicated to easing that burden by managing every step of the probate process on your behalf. You can trust us to handle your case with compassion, professionalism, and personal attention. Our goal is to make this process as smooth and stress-free for you as possible.

Often our family members pass away while owning real estate. Many clients come to us asking, “How do I sell my dead parents’ home?” or “How do I sell my mom’s house?”– and quickly discover that just listing the property is not enough. If the property is still titled in your parents’ names, the sale must go through a legal process known as Probate Administration or Summary Administration. We can take over this process and prepare and file all necessary documents, including the Petition for Summary Administration, Petition for Administration and get you the court orders you need to sell the property. This will be called either the Order of Summary Administration or Letters of Administration.
The monetary value of the property will determine which Florida probate process you will need. If the home is protected homestead, we can likely do a shortened version of probate called Summary Administration. If the home plus other assets exceed a value of $75,000, or you need to sell the home right away, you will likely require the longer probate process called Probate Administration. We will help appoint you as the Personal Representative of the estate, help you list the real estate property with a realtor of your choosing, and guide you from start to finish. Whether your loved one died with a valid will (known as a testate estate) or without a will (an intestate estate), OC Estate & Elder Law can help.
We also support clients planning for the future with services such as estate planning for young families, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and strategies to avoid probate. Whether you are asking “Who will take over my business?” or “How do I start planning for my children’s education?” or “How do I pay for college?” our team provides trusted solutions tailored to your needs.

The attorneys also understand family businesses. They are equipped to help protect your business interests and investments by creating custom designed protection strategies to ensure your family’s inheritance is protected from future creditors. From startups, small business owners to international businesses, no matter where you are on the scale, Fernando Orrego and Natasha Chipiga have the knowledge and experience to effectively guide you.
